TDS/TCS (Due Dates for Payment/Statement/Certificate for F.Y.2023-24)

Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Tax Collected at Source (TCS) are tax collection mechanisms in India. TDS is a method of deducting tax at the source of income while making payments such as salary, interest, rent, commission, etc. TCS is a method of collecting tax at the source of sale of goods or services.


The due dates for TDS/TCS payment, statement, and certificate are as follows for FY 2022-23:


1. Due date for TDS/TCS payment:


a. For the month of April: 7th May 2023

b. For the month of May: 7th June 2023

c. For the month of June: 7th July 2023

d. For the quarter ending 30th June: 7th July 2023

e. For the month of July: 7th August 2023

f. For the month of August: 7th September 2023

g. For the month of September: 7th October 2023

h. For the quarter ending 30th September: 7th October 2023

i. For the month of October: 7th November 2023

j. For the month of November: 7th December 2023

k. For the month of December: 7th January 2024

l. For the quarter ending 31st December: 7th January 2024

m. For the month of January: 7th February 2024

n. For the month of February: 7th March 2024

o. For the month of March: 30th April 2024


2. Due date for TDS/TCS statement:


a. Quarterly statement for the quarter ending 30th June: 31st July 2023

b. Quarterly statement for the quarter ending 30th September: 31st October 2023

c. Quarterly statement for the quarter ending 31st December: 31st January 2024

d. Annual statement for the financial year ending 31st March: 31st May 2024


3. Due date for TDS/TCS certificate:


a. TDS certificate for tax deducted in the quarter ending 30th June: 15th August 2023

b. TDS certificate for tax deducted in the quarter ending 30th September: 15th November 2023

c. TDS certificate for tax deducted in the quarter ending 31st December: 15th February 2024

d. TDS certificate for tax deducted in the financial year ending 31st March: 30th May 2024
